Sun Pharma's Board approved audited standalone and consolidated financial results for Q4 and FY25 with a clean (unmodified) auditor's opinion from SRBC & Co LLP. On a standalone basis, FY25 revenue from operations rose about 13.5% year-on-year to roughly Rs. 23,003 crore, while profit after tax surged nearly 50% to Rs. 4,283 crore; basic EPS climbed to Rs. 17.8 from Rs. 11.9. The company reported no exceptional items in FY25, compared with Rs. 219 crore of exceptional charges in FY24 (intangible impairment plus a Lipitor-related legal settlement). For Q4 FY25 standalone, revenue grew about 27% YoY to Rs. 7,186 crore and profit after tax jumped to Rs. 2,000 crore from Rs. 868 crore. The Board recommended a final dividend of Rs. 5.50 per share, taking the total FY25 payout to Rs. 16 per share (Rs. 10.50 interim + Rs. 5.50 final), with a record date of July 7, 2025 and AGM scheduled for July 31, 2025.
Strong double-digit earnings growth, a clean audit report, and the absence of exceptional items this year should support a positive investor reaction, while the higher total dividend rewards shareholders. Governance changes — appointment of Ms. Vidhi Shanghvi as Whole-time Director and the retirement of long-time director Mr. Sudhir Valia — are also worth tracking.
