On the reaction day the stock moved 4.6 pts more than Nifty Midcap 150 and 4.3 pts more than its Non Banking Financial Company (NBFC) peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.

Sundaram Finance's Board has approved increasing its NCD fundraising limit on private placement basis from Rs 13,000 crore to Rs 16,000 crore for financial year 2025-26. The debentures will be issued in one or more tranches. The Rs 3,000 crore increase points to larger borrowing or growth requirements.
Higher NCD issuance may support business expansion but also raises the company's debt repayment obligations.
