Sunraj Diamond Exports has filed its audited results for the quarter and full year ended March 31, 2025. Revenue from operations for FY25 stood at Rs. 184.74 lakhs, a sharp decline of about 27% from Rs. 254.36 lakhs in FY24. Despite the revenue fall, the company swung back to a standalone net profit of Rs. 8.70 lakhs (FY24 was a loss of Rs. 72.92 lakhs), with consolidated net profit at Rs. 5.98 lakhs. EPS came in at Rs. 0.16 standalone and Rs. 0.11 consolidated. The auditor issued a qualified opinion on both sets of results because the company has not made any provision for employee retirement benefits (no IND AS 19 actuarial valuation done), and the management says it will comply in due course. The balance sheet remains weak — borrowings of Rs. 1,675 lakhs sit against a small net worth of about Rs. 169 lakhs (standalone), and operating cash flow stayed negative at around Rs. (37) lakhs.
The return to profit is a positive sign, but the underlying business remains very small, revenue is shrinking, and the balance sheet is stretched with very high borrowings versus equity. The qualified audit opinion on employee benefit provisioning is a compliance red flag. Shareholders should watch for revenue recovery and debt reduction before getting comfortable.
