Super Spinning Mills Limited announced its Q1 FY26 unaudited results, approved by the Board on August 7, 2025. The company has already discontinued its textile operations and now operates only in rental services. Net sales from continuing operations stood at Rs. 150.40 lakhs, down modestly from Rs. 156.26 lakhs in Q1 FY25. However, profit from continuing operations jumped to Rs. 36.15 lakhs versus Rs. 24.47 lakhs a year ago, a growth of about 48%, helped by lower finance costs and other expenses. The discontinued textile segment reported a loss of Rs. 44 lakhs (vs Rs. 77.76 lakhs loss in Q1 FY25), including exceptional items such as impairment provisions. On a total basis, the company posted a net loss of Rs. 41.34 lakhs for the quarter, an improvement from the Rs. 57.54 lakhs loss in the year-ago period.
The core rental business is profitable and showing strong margin improvement, but legacy textile losses continue to drag consolidated results. The stock essentially trades as a small rental services play now, and shareholders should track the wind-down of the discontinued textile business for any further write-offs or liabilities.
