Super Spinning Mills' Board met on May 23, 2025 and approved audited results for Q4 and FY ended March 31, 2025, with the statutory auditor (CSK Prabhu and Co LLP) issuing an unmodified opinion. Net sales from continuing operations stood at Rs. 662.73 lakhs (FY25) vs Rs. 694.52 lakhs (FY24), a ~4.6% decline, while the company reported a net loss of Rs. 1,640.64 lakhs for the year, largely driven by losses of Rs. 1,413.93 lakhs from discontinued textile operations. EPS for the year was Rs. (2.98). The Board appointed Mr. A Palaniappan as Internal Auditor (FY26) and M/s. MOS & Associates LLP as Secretarial Auditors for five years, subject to shareholder approval. Mr. Sumanth Ramamurthi was re-appointed as Chairman and Managing Director for a further 5 years from April 1, 2026, and the 63rd AGM was scheduled for September 10, 2025 via video conferencing.
Shareholders should note the continued net losses and the significant contingent exposure from long-pending power disputes with APGCL/SPDCL (where Rs. 8,114.17 lakhs is claimed as arrears, against which only Rs. 1,907.56 lakhs is recognized as payable). The re-appointment of the promoter CMD provides continuity, but the weak earnings and unresolved legacy disputes remain key risks for the stock.
