Suryalata Spinning Mills reported Q2 FY26 standalone revenue from operations of ₹12,450 lakhs, down about 7.3% from ₹13,432 lakhs in Q2 FY25. However, profitability surged sharply — standalone PBT jumped to ₹577 lakhs (vs ₹102 lakhs) and PAT rose to roughly ₹445 lakhs (vs ₹76 lakhs). For the half year, standalone PAT climbed to about ₹860 lakhs from ₹116 lakhs, with EPS of ₹20.16 vs ₹2.71. Consolidated results were also strong, with H1 PBT of ₹1,409 lakhs (vs ₹424 lakhs) and PAT of about ₹1,114 lakhs. EBITDA margins expanded meaningfully, driven by lower raw material costs and finance costs. The statutory auditor K.S. Rao & Co. issued an unmodified limited review report on both standalone and consolidated results. Operating cash flow remained healthy at ₹1,953 lakhs (standalone) for H1.
Sharp profit growth and margin expansion are positives for shareholders, even though top-line slipped year-on-year. The combination of lower input and finance costs boosted earnings, and the clean auditor report supports confidence. Investors should watch whether revenue weakness reverses in coming quarters.
