SVC Industries reported total income of Rs. 265.37 lakhs for Q1 FY26, nearly doubling from Rs. 137.38 lakhs in Q1 FY25, driven mainly by a new Rs. 241.75 lakhs revenue stream from Agri Product Sales. However, total expenses surged sharply from Rs. 80.38 lakhs to Rs. 335.58 lakhs, largely due to stock-in-trade purchases. As a result, the company swung from a profit of Rs. 57 lakhs to a loss of Rs. 70.21 lakhs before and after tax. Loss per share stood at Rs. 0.04 versus a profit of Rs. 0.04 in the year-ago quarter. The auditor (B.M. Chaturvedi & Co.) issued an unmodified limited review report with no qualifications.
Despite strong top-line growth from a new agri-trading business, rising costs turned the quarter into a loss, which is negative for short-term shareholder sentiment. Ongoing concerns around unpaid One-Time Settlement dues to PICUP and unsettled debenture obligations add further risk to the outlook.
