Taj GVK Hotels reported strong Q1 FY26 results with revenue from operations rising to ₹10,639 lakhs from ₹9,281 lakhs in Q1 FY25, a growth of about 15%. Total income jumped to ₹12,829 lakhs from ₹9,470 lakhs, boosted by a ₹2,021 lakh dividend received from its joint venture (Green Woods Palaces and Resorts, which runs Taj Santacruz, Mumbai). Standalone profit after tax nearly tripled to ₹3,622 lakhs from ₹1,271 lakhs, while consolidated PAT (including JV share) rose to ₹4,110 lakhs from ₹1,698 lakhs. Standalone EPS stood at ₹5.78 vs ₹2.03, and consolidated EPS at ₹6.55 vs ₹2.71. The company also spent ₹157 lakhs on renovating Taj Deccan, Hyderabad, and announced a record date of 8th September 2025 for the FY25 dividend, with the 30th AGM scheduled for 12th September 2025.
A strong quarter for shareholders, with profits growing much faster than revenue, aided by the JV dividend. The healthy results and upcoming dividend record date are positive signals, though investors should note that a significant portion of the profit jump came from the one-time JV dividend rather than core hotel operations.
