TNPL announced its audited financial results for Q4 FY25 and full year ended March 31, 2025. Full year revenue from operations fell to Rs. 4,490.91 Cr from Rs. 4,689.61 Cr, a decline of about 4.2%. Profit after tax collapsed sharply to Rs. 3.73 Cr (from Rs. 208.16 Cr in FY24), and EBITDA fell to Rs. 527.17 Cr from Rs. 838.75 Cr. The company blamed a surge in cheap paper imports from ASEAN countries and a 20-25% rise in domestic hardwood pulp prices for the severe margin compression. The Board recommended a final dividend of Rs. 3 per share (30%), down from prior payouts, subject to shareholder approval at the AGM on September 19, 2025. The auditor issued an unmodified opinion, and two key managerial appointments were made: R. Rengarajan as CFO (effective July 1, 2025) and Yogendra Kumar Varshney as Executive Director (Operations) and Chief Risk Officer.
Sharply lower profitability, dividend cut from prior levels, and revenue contraction signal a challenging year for shareholders. The unmodified audit opinion, positive operating cash flow of Rs. 569.79 Cr, and ongoing deleveraging (long-term borrowings down from Rs. 880.37 Cr to Rs. 676.51 Cr) provide some cushion, but weak earnings momentum may weigh on the stock in the near term.
