Tanla Platforms has completed its buyback, extinguishing 20 lakh equity shares (face value ₹1 each) at ₹875 per share, for an aggregate value of ₹175 crore. The buyback was executed through a tender offer process, with the tendering period running from July 29 to August 4, 2025, and the extinguishment completed on August 20, 2025. The company's total equity share count has reduced from 13.46 crore shares to 13.26 crore shares. As a result of the reduction in public shareholding, the promoter group's stake has risen slightly from 45.49% to 46.17%.
With fewer shares outstanding, the buyback is mildly EPS-accretive for remaining shareholders. Management's willingness to deploy ₹175 crore signals confidence in the company's valuation. The process is now fully closed, with no further buyback action expected under this programme.
