Tata Chemicals said the Kenya High Court stated on October 23, 2026 that it cannot handle the dispute involving a July 28 notice from Kenya's Ministry of Mining to Tata Chemicals Magadi and will take no further steps. The Kenyan subsidiary is reviewing the order and considering its next steps. A ministry-led committee and TCML's chief executive are conducting a technical review for Cabinet consideration.
High Court proceedings have ended, easing immediate court risk, but the ministry review continues and no financial impact has been disclosed.
