Tata Chemicals reported Q3 FY26 consolidated revenue of 3,550 crore, down 1 percent YoY, with a net loss of 69 crore versus a 21 crore loss a year ago. Nine-month profit attributable to equity shareholders fell to 236 crore from 291 crore. Operating margin compressed sharply to 1.46 percent from 4.29 percent in Q3 FY25. Exceptional items of 54 crore reflect the impact of new labour codes. Basic chemistry segment profit halved to 71 crore, while specialty products swung to a 21 crore loss.
Weak quarter with sharp margin pressure and a net loss may weigh on near-term sentiment, though nine-month profits still hold at 236 crore for shareholders.
