Tata Consumer Products posted strong Q2 FY26 results. Standalone revenue from operations rose 18% YoY to Rs 3,595 crore, while profit before exceptional items and tax jumped 63% to Rs 385 crore. Standalone net profit grew 28% to Rs 285 crore (prior year had a Rs 74 crore one-time tax credit from merger of subsidiaries). Consolidated revenue grew 18% YoY (16% in constant currency) to Rs 4,966 crore, driven by India Business (+18%), International Business (+10%) and Non-Branded Business (+26%). Consolidated group net profit rose 11% to Rs 407 crore. Standalone operating margin expanded to 10.59% (from 9.52%), helped by easing tea cost inflation, though coffee cost inflation in non-branded business was a partial drag. Auditor Deloitte Haskins & Sells gave an unmodified limited review report.
Broadly positive for shareholders — double-digit revenue growth, margin expansion on standalone basis, and broad-based segment growth signal healthy operating momentum. The 28% standalone PAT jump looks even stronger once adjusted for the prior year's one-time tax credit. No negative surprises or auditor concerns. Near-term stock reaction is likely to be constructive, though consolidated margin dipped slightly YoY.
