On the reaction day the stock moved 0.4 pts more than Nifty 100 and 0.4 pts more than its Iron & Steel peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Tata Steel informed exchanges that the Orissa High Court has extended interim protection till December 19, 2025 in two writ petitions. These challenge demand letters totalling about Rs 4,313 crore (Rs 1,902 crore for year 4 and Rs 2,411 crore for year 5) raised by the Deputy Director of Mines, Jajpur over alleged shortfall in mineral dispatch from the Sukinda Chromite Block under the Mines Concession Rules 2016. The interim order restrains authorities from taking coercive steps till the next date of hearing.
No immediate financial impact; court protection against the combined Rs 4,313 crore demand stays in place till December 19, 2025.
