Board approved Q2 and H1 FY26 results. Standalone Q2 revenue Rs 34,680 cr, net profit Rs 4,060 cr. Consolidated Q2 revenue Rs 58,689 cr, net profit Rs 3,183 cr versus Rs 759 cr last year. H1 consolidated PAT Rs 5,190 cr versus Rs 1,677 cr, over threefold jump. Board also approved acquiring remaining 50% stake in Tata BlueScope Steel for up to Rs 1,100 cr from BlueScope, making it a wholly owned unit. Auditor Price Waterhouse gave a clean unmodified opinion. Standalone results carried exceptional items of Rs 619 cr for H1.
Strong consolidated profit growth signals demand recovery and margin improvement. BlueScope deal expands coated steel presence. Overall positive for shareholders.
