TTML has been challenging Rs 268.84 Cr in DoT penalty notices for alleged subscriber verification non-compliance. The company recently filed applications against two demand notices dated June 17, 2025 and December 5, 2025 totaling about Rs 8.08 Cr. The Bombay High Court on December 24, 2025 has granted interim relief by allowing the amendment application and staying both demand notices. Earlier related penalties also had High Court stays. The company argues DoT circulars violate Section 20A of the Indian Telegraph Act.
The Rs 8.08 Cr DoT demand is stayed, providing temporary relief. No immediate cash outflow required. Ongoing matter remains.
