Terai Tea Company has reported its Q3 FY26 results (quarter ended 31 Dec 2025) along with 9M FY26 figures, approved by the Board on 13 Feb 2026. Standalone revenue from operations fell to Rs 1,119.04 lakhs in Q3 FY26 from Rs 1,531.51 lakhs in Q3 FY25, while 9M FY26 revenue declined to Rs 5,557.33 lakhs vs Rs 8,456.38 lakhs a year ago. Despite the drop in revenue, standalone profit after tax jumped sharply to Rs 1,330.91 lakhs for 9M FY26 (vs Rs 368.05 lakhs in 9M FY25), translating into an EPS of Rs 19.35 (vs Rs 5.35). The Tea Garden & Manufacturing segment swung from a loss of Rs 269.65 lakhs in 9M FY25 to a profit of Rs 503.83 lakhs in 9M FY26, and the Trading segment also improved, driving the overall turnaround. M/s Saha & Majumder, Chartered Accountants issued a clean (unqualified) limited review report on both standalone and consolidated results.
Sharp PAT growth (over 3.5x year-on-year) despite lower revenue points to a significant improvement in margins, which is a positive signal for shareholders. The clean auditor review and segment turnaround in Tea Garden support the story, but since the business is seasonal and Q3 is typically weak for Indian tea companies, investors should watch the final Q4 and full-year numbers before drawing firm conclusions on sustainability.
