Thangamayil Jewellery reported exceptional annual performance for FY 2025-26 with total sales surging 73% to Rs. 8,499 Crores from Rs. 4,917 Crores. Retail sales grew 73% to Rs. 8,159 Crores with same-store sales up 38.18%. PAT jumped 195% to Rs. 352 Crores from Rs. 119 Crores, while EBITDA rose 156% to Rs. 577 Crores with margin expanding to 6.79% from 4.58%. EPS more than doubled to Rs. 113.14 from Rs. 42.00. The company declared a dividend of Rs. 18 per share (180%), totaling Rs. 5,595 lakhs. An exceptional item of Rs. 238 lakhs was recorded due to New Labour Codes provision. The statutory auditor issued an unmodified (clean) opinion. The company operates 66 retail outlets across Tamil Nadu.
The results show strong operational outperformance with margin expansion and near-doubling of profitability, which should be positive for the stock. The clean audit opinion removes any governance concerns, and the increased dividend signals management confidence. However, rising import duties on gold/silver (from 6% to 15%) could impact future margins amid a potentially softening demand environment.
