On the reaction day the stock moved 0.6 pts less than Nifty Smallcap 250 and 0.7 pts less than its Shipping peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
On September 18, 2025, The Great Eastern Shipping Company agreed to lend Rs 425 crore to its wholly owned subsidiary Greatship (India) Limited. The unsecured term loan carries 7.50% annual interest, payable quarterly, has a 2.5-year term and can be prepaid early. It will prepay the subsidiary's existing external borrowing of USD 70.9 million. The related-party deal is at arm's length, with no promoter interest.
No equity dilution is planned. The deal may lower external debt exposure, but shifts interest payments within the group; direct stock impact is likely limited.
