On the reaction day the stock moved 0.6 pts more than Nifty Smallcap 250 and 0.1 pts more than its Shipping peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
The Great Eastern Shipping Company (GESHIP) will start its open market share buyback from September 4, 2026. The board had earlier approved buying back fully paid equity shares worth up to 900 crores at a maximum price of 1,530 per share. The buyback excludes promoters and promoter group shareholders and will be carried out through stock exchanges under SEBI buyback rules.
Buyback uses up to 900 crore of company cash and supports share price. Promoters excluded, signalling capital return to public holders.
