The Government of Singapore (managed by GIC Pte. Ltd.) has fully exercised the Oversubscription Option in its Offer for Sale (OFS) of IndiGrid Infrastructure Trust units. Together with the Base Offer of 4,36,31,371 units (4.58% of unit capital), an additional 2,64,59,185 units (2.78%) will now be sold, taking the total OFS size to 7,00,90,556 units, representing 7.36% of the InvIT's unit capital. The OFS was conducted on February 5, 2026 for non-retail investors and on February 6, 2026 for retail investors, with about 70,09,057 units reserved for retail allocation. The decision to exercise the full option suggests the base offering received strong investor demand.
While the full exercise of the Oversubscription Option signals robust demand for IndiGrid units among investors, a major FII (GIC) is trimming its holding by 7.36%, which could create short-term supply pressure on the unit price. Existing unitholders should watch post-OFS price action to gauge how the large block is absorbed.
