The Ramco Cements reported its Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025) results with standalone revenue from operations at Rs. 2,070 crores, nearly flat compared to Rs. 2,088 crores in the same quarter last year. Standalone net profit jumped to Rs. 86 crores from Rs. 35.5 crores in Q1 FY25, a growth of about 142%, supported by an exceptional gain of Rs. 10.83 crores from sale of surplus land. Operating margin expanded to 19% from 16% a year ago, and net profit margin improved to 4% from 2%, indicating better cost efficiency. The board also approved acquiring the remaining 28.5% stake in subsidiary Ramco Windfarms Limited from related parties for Rs. 28.5 lakhs, making it a wholly owned subsidiary. Statutory auditors issued an unmodified opinion on the results but drew attention to the pending Rs. 258.63 crore CCI penalty case still under Supreme Court review.
Sharp profit growth on stable revenue signals strong margin improvement, though part of the gain came from a one-time land sale. The small wind energy subsidiary buyout is not financially material, while the CCI penalty remains a key contingent overhang to watch.
