On the reaction day the stock moved 0.7 pts less than Nifty Microcap 250 and 0.9 pts less than its Trading & Distributors peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
BSE imposed a fine of Rs 12,04,780 (incl GST) on State Trading Corporation of India for non-compliance with SEBI LODR regulations 17, 18, 19, and 20 for quarter ended June 2026. Non-compliance relates to lack of required Independent Directors including a woman director, plus non-constitution of audit, nomination, and stakeholder relationship committees. STC has requested waiver citing PSU status, as director appointments rest with the Ministry of Commerce.
Recurring fines possible until directors appointed. Risk of promoter shareholding freeze and stock moving to Z category if non-compliance continues next quarter.
