On the reaction day the stock moved 0.9 pts more than Nifty Microcap 250 and 0.3 pts more than its Trading & Distributors peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.

STC's FY25 consolidated results received a qualified audit opinion. Auditors said profit was overstated by Rs 1,06,982.54 lakh due to inadequate provisions on old receivables; other asset, liability and currency issues could not be quantified. STCL's accounts were prepared on a liquidation basis. Prior-period figures were restated. STC paid Rs 200 crore under a debt settlement, with accounting due in the September quarter.
Audit issues raise risk as profit may be overstated. Debt settlement may help, but litigation, liquidity and business continuity risks remain.
