Ugar Sugar Works reported a strong turnaround in Q3 FY26 with standalone revenue from operations of Rs. 32,892.98 lakhs, up about 19.6% from Rs. 27,497.97 lakhs in Q3 FY25. Net profit for the quarter jumped sharply to Rs. 1,375.79 lakhs (EPS Rs. 1.22) versus Rs. 452.54 lakhs (EPS Rs. 0.40) a year ago, driven mainly by a swing to profit in the Industrial Alcohol and Co-generation segments. For the nine months ended December 2025, revenue rose about 26.6% year-on-year to Rs. 1,11,807.46 lakhs, but the company is still in cumulative loss of Rs. 3,214.89 lakhs, though this is roughly halved from the Rs. 6,733.36 lakh loss in the same period last year. Auditor Kirtane & Pandit LLP issued an unmodified review report with no qualifications or emphasis of matter.
Sharp Q3 profit recovery and double-digit revenue growth are positive signals, but the company remains loss-making on a year-to-date basis, so near-term sentiment may improve only modestly until full-year profitability is confirmed.
