Ugar Sugar reported Q2 FY26 revenue of Rs 42,526 lakhs, up 62% YoY from Rs 26,328 lakhs. Half-year revenue grew nearly 30% to Rs 78,914 lakhs, driven mainly by the Industrial Alcohol segment. Despite top-line growth, the company posted a Q2 loss after tax of Rs 3,217 lakhs, narrower than the Rs 6,003 lakhs loss a year ago. Half-year PAT loss came in at Rs 4,591 lakhs. EPS was Rs (2.86) for the quarter. Sugar business is seasonal; crushing for 2025-26 began on Nov 10.
Revenue growth and narrowing losses suggest gradual recovery; however, the company is still in the red, so sustained profitability is key for shareholders.
