Timken India reported Q1 FY26 revenue from operations of ₹8,088.17 million, up about 3.2% year-on-year from ₹7,837.01 million in Q1 FY25. Net profit after tax rose to ₹1,042.24 million from ₹963.05 million, a growth of roughly 8.2% YoY, lifting EPS to ₹13.86 from ₹12.80. Profit before tax was nearly flat at ₹1,304.32 million versus ₹1,298.31 million, indicating soft operating leverage. Sequentially, both revenue and profit declined from the strong Q4 FY25 base (revenue ₹9,397.91 million, PAT ₹1,868.29 million). The quarter's tax expense includes a one-time reversal of provisions worth ₹82.54 million (net of deferred tax) relating to earlier periods, which flattered the bottom line. Auditor Deloitte Haskins & Sells LLP issued an unmodified limited review report.
A steady but unexciting quarter, with single-digit YoY growth in both revenue and profit. The tax reversal inflates reported PAT growth, so underlying operational performance is more modest than the headline number suggests. Sequentially, business momentum cooled sharply from Q4 FY25, which may temper near-term investor enthusiasm.
