On the reaction day the stock moved 9.8 pts less than Nifty Smallcap 250 and 10.0 pts less than its Heavy Electrical Equipment peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
The World Bank notified TARIL on November 4, 2025 of sanctions proceedings over alleged irregularities in a $24.74 million order to supply 70 transformers for a Nigeria transmission project. The order was executed in FY22; three units were damaged, insurance payment was received in FY24, and replacements were supplied in FY25. TARIL plans to contest the notice.
The debarment is limited to World Bank-funded projects. TARIL has no current or pending such orders and expects no material business or financial impact.
