On the reaction day the stock moved 4.3 pts more than Nifty Microcap 250 and 4.1 pts more than its Heavy Electrical Equipment peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Transrail Lighting has clarified to the stock exchanges that neither the company nor any of its subsidiaries feature on the World Bank's list of ineligible firms and individuals. It also clarified that it has no connection to the entity called TARIL or TRIL that does appear on that list. The company believes its name was wrongly associated with the list, causing unnecessary business disruption, and assured it will keep making required disclosures.
Removes near-term confusion overhang for shareholders; stock may see relief from any negative news-driven selling triggered by the World Bank list reference.
