Tree House settled its long-pending arbitration with Vidya Bharti Samiti through consent terms dated September 30, 2025. Under the settlement, Vidya Bharti Samiti paid Rs. 11 lakh towards old invoices raised by the company. A refundable security deposit of Rs. 29 crore, originally paid by Tree House under a 2012 service agreement, will now be repaid by the respondent over 30 years as per a set schedule. The company recorded a bad debt of about Rs. 81 lakh. The 2012 service agreements remain valid with modified terms, including variable fees instead of fixed per-student fee and removal of the minimum guarantee clause.
Mixed outcome. A one-time hit of about 81 lakh in bad debt, but a 29 crore deposit will come back slowly over 30 years. Minor positive for the stock.
