Trident Limited's board, at its May 21, 2025 meeting, approved audited standalone and consolidated financial results for Q4 and the financial year ended March 31, 2025, and declared a 1st interim dividend of Rs 0.50 per equity share (50% on the Rs 1 face value) for FY26, with a record date of May 27, 2025. On a standalone basis, FY25 revenue from operations rose about 3.5% year-on-year to Rs 6,966 crore, while net profit fell about 5.8% to Rs 367 crore (FY24 had a Rs 36 crore exceptional gain from a subsidiary sale). Consolidated FY25 revenue grew about 2.6% to Rs 6,987 crore, and consolidated net profit rose about 5.9% to Rs 371 crore. Q4 FY25 was sharply stronger, with standalone Q4 net profit of Rs 132 crore more than doubling from Rs 64 crore in Q4 FY24, driven by the yarn and towel segments.
The Rs 0.50 interim dividend is a modest but positive cash return for shareholders, and the strong Q4 rebound in profits is a constructive near-term signal. However, the full-year standalone earnings dip and an emphasis-of-matter note from auditors about an Income Tax search at the company's premises are points worth monitoring for any potential tax or compliance impact.
