On the reaction day the stock moved 0.5 pts less than Nifty 100 and 0.2 pts more than its Cement & Cement Products peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
On its Q2 FY27 earnings call, UltraTech reported volume growth of 13.8%, capacity use of 71% versus 66%, and a 21% rise in net profit. Fuel cost rose 13% to INR51.5 a bag, but September trade prices rose 7 to 10 a bag and spot prices are about 5% above the Q2 average. Management expects price gains to lift Q3 earnings, reaffirmed INR1,400 EBITDA per ton by March 2028 and targets net debt below 1 times EBITDA by March.
Firm prices, higher volumes and cost control support earnings and the stock, though fuel costs and West Asia risks remain.
