Universal Office Automation reported zero revenue from operations for the quarter and half year ended 30 September 2025, with total income coming entirely from other income of Rs 2.18 lakhs in Q2 and Rs 5.29 lakhs for H1 FY26. The company posted a small profit of Rs 0.51 lakhs in Q2 FY26 against a loss of Rs 0.55 lakhs in Q2 FY25, but remained in the red for the half year with a net loss of Rs 1.51 lakhs versus Rs 7.83 lakhs in H1 FY25. Total expenses were Rs 1.67 lakhs in Q2, significantly lower than Rs 2.88 lakhs a year ago, mainly on account of reduced other expenses. The auditor V Nagarajan & Co issued an unqualified limited review report with no qualifications. The balance sheet shows total assets of Rs 179.91 lakhs, cash and investments of about Rs 173 lakhs, and deeply negative other equity of Rs -1,286.81 lakhs against share capital of Rs 1,465.27 lakhs, reflecting accumulated losses. Operating cash flow was negative at Rs -12.75 lakhs for H1.
The company appears to be non-operational with no business revenue and is running on its cash pile and investment income, while accumulated losses have eroded nearly all of its share capital. For shareholders this signals a dormant, value-destruction situation with limited near-term catalysts and an ongoing cash burn.
