UBL Q1 FY27 (quarter ended June 2026): Revenue from operations grew about 10% YoY to Rs. 5,91,745 lakhs (standalone). However, profit after tax fell about 9% to Rs. 16,639 lakhs, EPS at Rs. 6.29 vs Rs. 6.95. Middle East war hurt gross margins by 300bps. EBITDA margin compressed 35bps to 10.9%. Sell-out volumes rose 13% and free operating cash flow grew 38% to Rs. 548 crore. Auditor gave an unqualified review but flagged CCI penalty of Rs. 75,183 lakhs as contingent liability and Bihar lease matter.
Mixed quarter: strong volumes and cash flow, but margins and profits declined YoY due to war-related cost pressures. CCI penalty remains an overhang.
