UPL Limited reported strong full-year results for FY2026 ending March 31. Consolidated revenue grew 11% to Rs. 51,839 crores from Rs. 46,637 crores. Net profit (PAT) surged 170% to Rs. 2,220 crores versus Rs. 820 crores in the prior year. The company completed its rights issue, raising Rs. 1,700 crores through final call money. Exceptional items showed a net gain of Rs. 61 crores versus a loss of Rs. 408 crores previously, helped by a VAT disallowance reversal in Brazil. The Board recommended a dividend of Rs. 6 per equity share (300% on Rs. 2 face value). A composite scheme involving merger and demerger of certain businesses is pending regulatory approval.
The stock should see positive sentiment given the strong PAT growth and clean audit opinion. Dividend yield of Rs. 6 per share provides income support for shareholders pending AGM approval.
