Valecha Engineering FY26: revenue dips, Rs191.23 cr tax demand raised

Valecha Engineering reported FY26 standalone revenue of Rs 26.93 cr, down from Rs 29.65 cr last year. PBT fell to Rs 1.76 cr versus Rs 437.37 cr, mainly because last year had a one-time gain of Rs 433.62 cr while this year had a Rs 3.91 cr exceptional loss from write-offs and impairments. Core profit before exceptionals rose to Rs 5.67 cr from Rs 3.75 cr. A new Rs 191.23 cr income tax demand has been raised; the company is appealing. Auditor gave an unmodified opinion with 12 emphasis of matter notes, including pending CIRP at a subsidiary.
