Valson Industries, a synthetic/art silk yarn manufacturer, reported FY25 total income of Rs 13,084 lakhs, up about 4.6% from Rs 12,512 lakhs in FY24, driven mainly by higher Net Sales (Rs 12,979 lakhs vs Rs 12,384 lakhs). Net profit after tax fell sharply to Rs 60.62 lakhs (EPS Rs 0.79) from Rs 98.21 lakhs (EPS Rs 1.28) in FY24, a drop of roughly 38%, mainly because cost of materials, power, and other expenses rose faster than revenue. Q4 standalone performance was stronger, with Net Sales of Rs 3,335 lakhs versus Rs 2,774 lakhs a year ago (about 20% growth) and Q4 PAT at Rs 51.57 lakhs. Operating cash flow improved significantly to Rs 531 lakhs from Rs 335 lakhs, and overall borrowings were reduced. The statutory auditor issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on the financial statements.
Mixed for shareholders — modest revenue growth and improved cash generation are positives, but the sharp full-year PAT decline and thin operating margins suggest cost pressures are squeezing profitability, which may weigh on the stock in the near term.
