Valson Industries, a synthetic/art silk yarn manufacturer, reported its audited FY25 results. Total income rose to Rs. 13,084 lakhs from Rs. 12,512 lakhs in FY24, a growth of about 4.6%, while profit before tax improved to Rs. 51.09 lakhs from Rs. 45.73 lakhs. However, full-year net profit after tax fell sharply to Rs. 60.62 lakhs (from Rs. 98.21 lakhs) and EPS dropped to Rs. 0.79 from Rs. 1.28. Q4 FY25 was much stronger: net sales grew roughly 20% YoY to Rs. 3,335 lakhs and Q4 PAT rose about 39% YoY to Rs. 51.57 lakhs. The company cut total borrowings to Rs. 1,423 lakhs (from Rs. 1,702 lakhs) and operating cash flow nearly doubled to Rs. 531 lakhs. Statutory auditor Bastawala & Associates issued an unmodified (clean) opinion.
Mixed picture for shareholders: full-year PAT fell sharply even as revenue grew, but a strong Q4 rebound, debt reduction and improving cash generation are positives. The 40% jump in trade receivables (Rs. 797 lakh to Rs. 1,116 lakh) is a yellow flag worth tracking.
