Valson Industries, a synthetic yarn maker, reported Q2 FY26 net sales of Rs 2,731.61 lakhs, down about 10% from Rs 3,043.64 lakhs in the year-ago quarter. Half-yearly net sales fell to Rs 5,562.11 lakhs from Rs 5,905.76 lakhs, a decline of nearly 6% YoY. Despite the revenue drop, the company swung to a small profit after tax of Rs 0.85 lakh in Q2 versus a loss of Rs 2.99 lakh a year earlier; half-yearly PAT rose to Rs 10 lakhs from Rs 1.59 lakhs. Operating margins remain razor-thin at under 0.5%, with total expenses nearly matching total income. The statutory auditor issued a clean limited review report with no qualifications.
Shareholders should note that while bottom-line growth looks strong in percentage terms, it comes off a very low base and operating profits are still marginal. Revenue contraction and weak margins suggest limited near-term upside for the stock, though the company remains profitable and generated positive operating cash flow of Rs 214 lakhs in the half year.
