Vama Industries Limited reported standalone Q2 FY26 revenue from operations of Rs. 181.70 lakhs, down sharply from Rs. 321.02 lakhs in Q2 FY25 (about 43% YoY decline) and Rs. 367.71 lakhs in Q1 FY26 (about 50% QoQ decline). Standalone net profit for Q2 stood at Rs. 5.75 lakhs versus Rs. 8.49 lakhs in the year-ago quarter, with EPS of Rs. 0.01. On a half-year basis, standalone revenue grew about 24% YoY to Rs. 549.41 lakhs, but net profit fell to Rs. 12.65 lakhs from Rs. 46.21 lakhs in H1 FY25. On a consolidated basis, the company swung to losses of Rs. 16.76 lakhs in Q2 and Rs. 223.80 lakhs in H1 FY26, largely dragged by its Singapore subsidiary Vama Technologies Pte Ltd which posted a net loss of Rs. 39.13 lakhs in Q2. The auditor P. Suryanarayana & Co. issued a clean (unqualified) limited review report on both standalone and consolidated results.
Sharp quarterly revenue contraction and consolidated losses, mainly from the overseas subsidiary, are red flags for investors despite modest H1 standalone revenue growth. The unusual finance cost reversal that boosted Q2 standalone profit warrants closer scrutiny of underlying business sustainability.
