Vardhman Textiles Board has recommended a final dividend of Rs. 5 per share for FY2026, subject to shareholder approval at the AGM. The company reported standalone revenue of Rs. 9,652 crore (flat YoY) and profit after tax of Rs. 740 crore, down 16% from Rs. 879 crore in FY2025, primarily due to higher employee costs including Rs. 32.48 crore one-time labour code impact. The auditors issued an unmodified opinion on the financial statements. The company capitalized Rs. 570 crore of new capacity (technical textile unit in Baddi and processing line in Budhni) which commenced commercial production in March 2026.
The dividend recommendation signals continued shareholder returns despite profit decline. The stock may see modest positive reaction as the dividend provides income support, though the earnings contraction could limit upside.
