GLAS Agency Hong Kong disclosed creation of encumbrance over 2.20 billion shares (56.38 percent) of Vedanta Oil and Gas under SEBI Reg 29(1) read with 29(4). Shares are held by Vedanta Resources Limited via subsidiaries. Pursuant to a Facility Agreement dated 20 July 2026 for total commitment of US$ 2.25 billion (current US$ 1.545bn, increase option up to US$ 705m). Twin Star Holdings is borrower; VRL, VHMLII and Welter are guarantors. Lenders include Barclays, Citi, Deutsche Bank, JPM, Standard Chartered and Sumitomo Mitsui. Same shares were already encumbered per 15 and 17 July 2026 disclosures.
Promoter Vedanta Resources encumbered 56.38 percent of VOGL shares as collateral for US$ 2.25bn loan. Raises risk if default but consistent with prior pledges.
