Vedanta Power Q1 FY27 revenue rose 31% YoY to Rs 2,607 crore, but posted a net loss of Rs 423 crore vs profit of Rs 88 crore. The swing was driven by a Rs 487 crore exceptional loss including a Rs 127 crore Supreme Court penalty for alleged mis-declaration of capacity. EBITDA fell to Rs 291 crore from Rs 417 crore. Vedanta Limited's merchant power demerger became effective May 1, shares listed on BSE and NSE on June 15. Auditor issued unmodified opinion.
First quarterly loss post-listing, weighed by Supreme Court penalty and weak EBITDA despite strong revenue growth.
