Vedanta promoter entities Twin Star Holdings (38.35 percent), Welter Trading (0.98 percent) and Vedanta Holdings Mauritius II (12.60 percent) have released all encumbrances on about 2.14 billion Vedanta shares (54.72 percent of share capital) effective 17 September 2026. This follows full repayment of US dollar 1.1 billion in senior bonds (9.475 percent due 2030 and 9.850 percent due 2033) issued by Vedanta Resources Finance II PLC. Citicorp International Limited acted as trustee for bondholders.
Removes pledge overhang on majority of promoter holding, easing promoter group debt burden and restoring flexibility for future fundraising or share dealings.
