On the reaction day the stock moved 3.4 pts more than Nifty 100 and 3.4 pts more than its Metals & Mining peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Vedanta approved unaudited Q2 and half-year FY27 results. Continuing revenue rose 58% to Rs 26,356 crore and net profit rose 78% to Rs 6,202 crore. Continuing EBITDA margin expanded to about 37.9% from 29.2%. The auditor's unmodified review highlighted regulatory investigations. It includes a Rs 2,067 crore exceptional loss; prior figures were re-presented after the May 1 demerger. The Board approved a Rs 5 per-share interim dividend.
Strong growth supports the stock, but the May business split, exceptional loss and regulatory probes may limit investor enthusiasm.
