On the reaction day the stock moved 1.9 pts less than Nifty 100 and 2.0 pts less than its Metals & Mining peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Q2 FY26 revenue rose 5.9% to Rs 39,868 crore and EBITDA rose 12.1% to Rs 11,612 crore, lifting margin to 29.1% from 27.5%. Profit after tax fell 37.9% to Rs 3,479 crore; shareholder profit dropped 58.7% to Rs 1,798 crore after a Rs 2,067 crore exceptional loss, including a Rs 1,407 crore power receivable write-off. Half-year operating cash flow was Rs 16,226 crore. Auditor review was unmodified but highlighted Cambay and short-seller issues.
Higher revenue and cash flow are positive, but the exceptional loss and legal uncertainties may weigh on sentiment and the share price.
