Veer Energy & Infrastructure Ltd reported a sharp YoY decline in its core business. Revenue from operations fell to ₹254.61 lakhs in Q2 FY26 from ₹444.98 lakhs in Q2 FY25, a drop of about 43%. For the half year, revenue from operations came in at ₹319.66 lakhs versus ₹548.46 lakhs in H1 FY25, down roughly 42%. Profit after tax for H1 FY26 stood at ₹46.08 lakhs (₹0.31 EPS) compared to ₹67.76 lakhs (₹0.45 EPS) a year earlier, a decline of about 32%. The auditor's limited review report is clean with no adverse observations, and the company continues to operate as a single infrastructure segment. Net worth remains healthy at ₹6,466.68 lakhs. However, cash flow from operations was negative at ₹(138.48) lakhs for the half year, similar to last year's ₹(349.81) lakhs.
The steep YoY drop in operating revenue and profits, combined with continued negative operating cash flow, is a concern for shareholders despite the company remaining profitable on paper. Watch for recovery in the core infrastructure business in coming quarters.
