Venky's (India) Limited reported its audited financial results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025). Revenue from operations rose to Rs. 86,583 lakhs from Rs. 80,802 lakhs in the same quarter last year, a growth of about 7.2%. However, profit before tax dropped sharply to Rs. 2,177 lakhs from Rs. 10,087 lakhs, and profit after tax fell to Rs. 1,583 lakhs from Rs. 7,578 lakhs, a decline of nearly 79%. Basic EPS for the quarter stood at Rs. 11.24 versus Rs. 53.36 a year ago. The Poultry and Poultry Products segment was the main drag due to lower realisations from day-old chicks and grown-up birds, while Animal Health Products performed satisfactorily and Oilseed showed steady improvement. The statutory auditor (Sudit K. Parekh & Co. LLP) issued a clean, unqualified opinion on the results.
Despite higher revenue, sharp profit compression — driven by weak poultry realisations — is a negative signal for shareholders in the near term. The stock may face pressure on results day, though stable performance in Animal Health and improving Oilseed segments offer some cushion.
