Vikram Thermo India Ltd reported FY25 revenue from operations of Rs 12,623.06 lakhs, up about 24.6% from Rs 10,127.26 lakhs in FY24 (restated). However, the company booked a large exceptional loss of Rs 2,534.10 lakhs on the demerger of its Aromatic Chemicals unit into Vikram Aroma Ltd (effective 4 May 2024), dragging profit from continuing operations after tax down to Rs 841.77 lakhs from Rs 2,605.52 lakhs in FY24. Total comprehensive income came in at Rs 806.85 lakhs versus Rs 2,541.85 lakhs prior year, with EPS falling sharply to Rs 2.58 from Rs 8.09 (also restated). Loss from discontinued operations was Rs 31.93 lakhs. Operating cash flow remained healthy at Rs 2,364.23 lakhs, and the board has recommended a 10% dividend (Rs 1 per share), subject to shareholder approval. Statutory auditor J.T. Shah & Co. issued an unmodified opinion.
Strong top-line growth is offset by the one-time demerger loss, so headline profits look far weaker than last year. The business profile has structurally changed as the Aromatic Chemicals division has been spun off into Vikram Aroma Ltd, so prior-year comparatives are restated and may distort year-on-year profitability views for the near term.
