Vinati Organics posted consolidated Q2 revenue of Rs 680.21 crore, up 23.6% from Rs 550.22 crore a year ago. H1 revenue rose 37.3% to Rs 1,376.12 crore. However, Q2 profit after tax fell 31.8% to Rs 78.36 crore and H1 profit fell 14.5% to Rs 187.22 crore. The margin before depreciation, interest and tax narrowed from about 33% to 20% in Q2. H1 operating cash flow was positive at Rs 358.45 crore, and the review was unqualified.
Strong sales growth is offset by margin and profit compression, which may weigh on the stock, though cash flow remains positive and the review is clean.
